As I mentioned in my previous post I visited lake Baikal a couple of weeks ago. Situated in south-east Siberia, the 3.15-million-ha Lake Baikal is the oldest (25 million years) and deepest (1,700 m) lake in the world. It contains 20% of the world’s total unfrozen freshwater reserve. It is enlisted in the Unesco World Heritage program.
I was in the region for a short visit only, and I had very little time for photography. I only managed to make a few snapshots but you can find outstanding landscapes of Baikal in the internet.
